A familiar voice on UK radio, James is a presenter on Heart, the UK's largest commercial pop radio station. Previous to this his light-hearted style and natural connection with an audience saw him boost listening on Virgin, Kiss and Free Radio.
James has twice been recognised by his peers; in 2000 at the CRCA's as Commercial Radio Newcomer of the Year and, in 2009, for Best Radio Show at the UMA’s.
The route to radio began when James managed his university radio station. From there he became a presenter and producer on VMR (Virgin Megastores Radio) and TalkRadioUK / talkSport, before getting the call from Chris Evans’s team, and a three-year contract at Virgin Radio.
James left Virgin for a 10 year stint at Kiss 100, presenting across the schedule. Particular highlights were anchoring the popular Kisstory show while presenting mid-mornings, and six years as main breakfast cover.
He then spent a year at Free Radio, presenting the evening magazine programme - a role which opened up a world of guest interviews including chats with Noel Gallagher, Usher, Emeli Sande, One Direction and most of the pop / rock world in-between.
Currently at home on Heart, James splits his time between radio presenting and music management, guiding the career of Brit Award winner Ella Eyre.
